Red Wine Pasta
Recipe:
- Cooked pasta
- 2 @fieldroast sausages sliced
- 1/2 onion sliced
- 1 Cup @menageatroiswines Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1 Cup kale
- 1/4 Cup @earthbalance butter
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 TBS olive oil
- 1 TBS lemon juice + lemon zest
- 2 TBS broth
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- fresh herbs (I used parsley, thyme & dill)
1. Heat olive oil on medium heat and add sausages. Cook until browned on both sides & remove.
2. Add 1/8 Cup of butter to the same pan then add onions and turn the heat to LOW.
3. Once onions become translucent, add red pepper flakes, garlic & mushrooms. Sautée for about 1-2min.
4. Next add wine, broth, salt & pepper, lemon juice & zest then turn the heat up to MEDIUM HIGH.
5. Once sauce reduces turn heat to low again, add sausage, fresh herbs, kale & remaining 1/4 Cup of butter. Cover until kale begins to wilt.
6. Turn heat off & stir in pasta.
